A Dancer's Christmas
A Dancer's Christmas is a holiday tradition with 40 years of history. Created by Robert VerEecke S.J. and members of the Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble, A Dancer's Christmas was first performed at the Boston College Robsham Theater in 1984. It was consistently praised by the Boston media as a "celebration of the true meaning of Christmas," and it quickly became a Christmas tradition first in Boston, and then in New York City. Over the years A Dancer's Christmas has created an incredible community of dancers, musicians, and audience members, and come to define Christmas for generations of families.
SLK students, along with members of the affiliated Chevalier Ballet Company, are honored to continue this beautiful tradition with two shows at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater at 3p.m. on December 14 and 15.
