Ainsley Sorenson wins at YoungArts!
Congratulations to Ainsley Sorenson for being chosen as a finalist in the National YoungArts in New York City. YoungArts identifies and supports the next generation of artists, and contributes to the cultural vitality of the nation by investing in the artistic development of talented young artists in the visual, literary and performing arts. 32nd Annual Downtown Dance Festival 2013
SLK Ballet had the privilege of performing in the 32nd Annual Downtown Dance Festival 2013 held in Battery Park Conservancy. Students performed pieces from La Corsaire, Swan Lake and Pizzicato in beautiful weather under a canopy of old London Plane trees.

YoungArts New York 2013
YoungArts 2013 winner and SLK student, Ainsley Sorenson, took part in master classes with renowned artists, May 6-11 in New York City. Performances were given at Baryshnikov Arts Center (programmed by Mikhail Baryshnikov), The Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center (directed by Bill T. Jones) and the Museum of Modern Art (curated by Sarah Suzuki).

Ainsley Sorenson Wins at YoungArts 2013!
During YoungArts Week, the Dance Finalists participated in master classes, workshops and talks with masters in their field, including Lourdes Lopez, Phillip Neal, Desmond Richardson, Chet Walker and Keith Roberts.
The Dance performance was held at the New World Center on January 9, 2013.
